home theater components One of the most creative musical genres to gain popularity over the past couple years has been mash ups. These are basically tracks a DJ creates after combining many similar sounding songs into one. They don’t have to musically be similar, sometimes the lyrics of the songs included all follow a similar focus. One of my recent favorites to play on the home theater components is attached below. It is a mix between vintage Stevie Wonder and new hip hop verses. All of it is mixed behind a positive up beat bass and instrumental line. Hope you enjoy it if for nothing else the pure creativity.

My home theater components were a great deal online and have worked out to be my best purchase of 2009. Music is so much better when it can engulf a room with multiple speakers. I have tried my hand at making mash ups and it is freakin’ hard. It takes a certain ear. My friend has spent months perfecting his mash up skills and has made some pretty good tracks. The one attached above is so good though.
