garmin gps

A few days ago I received a package in the mail that contained a Garmin GPS. At first, I thought that the Garmin GPS had been sent to our home by mistake, but the box was addressed to me. That threw me off a little, but I couldn't imagine who would be sending me a Garmin GPS, since I'd clearly not ordered it for myself.

Later that morning, my phone rang and it was my brother. He asked if I'd received the package that he'd sent to me. I asked if he meant the Garmin GPS. He confirmed that is what he meant, and the next question out of my mouth was me asking him why he was sending me a Garmin GPS.

He said he'd been hearing tales from mom and dad about me spending time in the woods hiking the last few weeks and he thought it was time that I have something to keep me from getting lost, since my sense of direction isn't the best in the world. So when he saw the Garmin Oregon 200 Portable Navigator that I found at Shopp Rite Mall whose online store can be found by visiting www.shoppritemall.com he decided to order it for me. He liked the fact that the GPS was so small and that I could fit it right into the palm of my hand, or the pocket of my jeans. He said he worried about me wandering around in the woods and wanted me to be able o find my way out. I personally thought that the Garmin GPS was one of the sweetest gifts I've ever been given, especially from my brother.

I thanked him, and asked if he wanted to come walking for me when spring rolled around. He said he'd love to, and that he'd bring his own Garmin GPS. He also invited me to join him and his friends for one of their Garmin GPS scavenger hunts. They hold them four times a year and there's one coming up in March. I think that would definitely be fun to be a part of. Whoever is hosting the party that time goes out and hides things in various areas. They give those playing the game, the coordinance to find specific things and they have to use the Garmin GPS to get them there. The person who returns with the most items from the scavenger hunt wins a prize. Sounds like fun to me!
