Discovering Teriyaki Heaven with the Garmin GPS |

Over the weekend, while down at a friend’s house I got the urge to eat authentic teriyaki chicken for lunch. This is a dish I grew up with. In the Pacific Northwest, there is a huge population of Japanese people and just about as many teriyaki joints. It is the perfect meal because it is cheap, healthy, delicious and very filling. Ever since moving away for college and now into California, I’ve struggled to find places that stack up against what I grew up with.
Hoping in the car, I scrolled through the Garmin GPS until coming to the food section. There I narrowed the search down to Japanese and mapped the closest place with Teriyaki in the name. The Garmin GPS got me there in minutes. As soon as I walked through the doors I knew it was going to be good. The menu was in both Japanese and English, there were anime drawings all over the place and the standard bowl was only 5 bucks. It did not disappoint. Now if I could use the Garmin GPS to find something similar near where I live.
