Wouldn’t it be something in the future if all cars came standard with a Garmin GPS? While I know that this is highly unlikely, it does make me think about what the world would be like if every single vehicle on the road had a Garmin GPS. Would people drive better because they always knew where they were going? Would traffic jams occur less often because more people would be taking alternative routes that were suggested by their Garmin GPS units? What about rush hour? Would rush our even exist if people got into their cars and then were informed by their Garmin GPS, via live traffic reports, that they should take different roads home, or avoid certain roads because of car accidents? When you think about it, it does seem enticing in a way. Because I truly believe that the cars of the future will not only be built to get people to and from different places, but that they will also be designed to alleviate traffic congestion. And the only way that I think they will be able to truly solve these woes is by harnessing the power of integrated GPS technology.
