Dave’s daughter Tina used to live in our home with us but last July she moved out due to numerous personal problems. Now Dave and I are raising the three grandkids and we have a lot of home improvement to do in the upstairs portion of the house, starting with the living room. We need a new carpet, a new sofa, furniture and a new TV for the upstairs living room. The challenge is to get all of these things without amassing credit card debt. Hence we have been putting our heads together to plan everything out.
One of the things Dave and I will do in order to save money is buy a new LCD HDTV online. We are hoping to get a large LCD HDTV to make the living room feel a bit like a cinema. I have noticed LCD HDTVs selling online for less than the standard retail price so I know that we can save some money there.
Dave is good with his hands and woodworking is one of his hobbies. That is why he plans to make our furniture for the living room by hand. He mentioned last night that the entertainment stand will be the hardest project. I told him it needn’t be anything elaborate because we can get a TV wall mount for the flat screen. When I said that Dave looked at me as though I had two heads, I don’t think he had even thought about using a TV wall mount. That is why I fired up the computer to show him some TV wall mounts at various ecommerce stores. Showing Dave the TV wall mounts online has helped us further our plans a little so that we are on the same page.
