My husband and I love to have date nights together. We go out at least once a month now to have dinner. We used to go out a bit more often, to go to the movies. After doing that for awhile, we figured out that we could save quite a bit of money just by watching our home theater components at home instead. We put the kids to bed, then make a yummy snack. After that we pick out a movie from our extensive collection. Sometimes it's one we already own and sometimes it's one that we just bought and haven't seen yet. It's so much less expensive to watch the home theater components than it is to go out to the movies. The snacks and movie together cost less for both of us than it does for just one of us to go to the movies. The snacks are much better too, because we have more than popcorn and candy to choose from. It's more romantic because there are no strangers or crowds, it's just us. We can snuggle up on the couch and just be alone to watch our home theater components.
