It wasn't that long ago that projection TVs did not provide a great picture. Although they had big screens, the image on them invariably looked washed out, the colors somewhat lifeless and thin, and the blacks more or a pale gray. However, recent advances in projection TVs have made them among the most sought-after parts for many peoples' home theater components. In fact, many videophiles prefer the large size of the projection TV screens to any LCD HDTV, even the latest 1080p HDTV sets. The picture quality now is excellent, the screen size is huge enough to accomodate the entire frame of widescreen epics like Gladiator or The Transformers, plus you don't have to bother with installing an expensive and heavy TV wall mount that will leave big holes in the wall when you finally take it down. Believe me, a big TV wall mount is a pain in the neck to install. I know, since I just helped my brother put one up, and it took us a long time to hang the TV wall mount. That experience is one of the reasons why I decided to go with a projection TV with a retractable screen as one of my home theater components. I have LCD HDTV sets in other parts of the house, like my bedroom, but the projection TV set up is my main viewing system in my media room. Because I wasn't that familiar with projection TVs and screens it took me a while to find the right elements for my own home theater components. Luckily, I encountered the Shopp Rite Mall online while doing my research. This fine online mall, located at: http://www.shoppritemall.com enabled me to find everything I needed in terms of home theater components for the media room I had planned. One of the best deals that I found was one of the most essential of my home theater components: an Elite Screens Home2 Electric Projection Screen that could be mounted on either the wall or the ceiling. This screen has a whopping 120-inch diagonal measurement so watching anything on this beauty is like going to the movies. Actually, watching a movie at home in my media room is better than going out to the movies since I don't have to put up with strangers talking or texting during the movie and I can make my own popcorn with real butter. Since I install it in my media room, I've had hours of enjoyment with my home theater components. Getting my screen at the Shopp Rite Mall helped me put together the media room of my dreams for a very modest price. |
