I like to think that I have been enjoying a home theater system for the last five years. I have a great sounding surround sound system. I also have a top of the line DVD player. But, the anchor of my home theater system was a 36" standard television. The TV was inside a large entertainment center that took up an entire wall. My home theater system was, I thought, pretty great.

A friend of mine came over about six months ago to watch the SuperBowl game and he asked when I was going to finish my home theater with a LCD HDTV. I was shocked! I had great pride in my setup. He got a pretty good chuckle at that and said that my sound was great and the DVD player was good, but I really needed to upgrade to LCD HDTV. Imagine my surprise then, when he showed up at my house the next week with a very large package. He actually brought me a LCD HDTV. He said he just bought a new one and didn't want this one to go to waste so he wanted to help me finish my home theater. It's great to have friends.
