Right After Christmas is the Best Time to Shop for Home Theater Components! |

If you're like me, you like to save a buck wherever you can. That's why I usually wait to make major purchases of big ticket electronics items like LCD HDTV 1080p sets and other home theater components until after Christmas, or in the big sales that always occur the day after New Year's. Do you know why buying after holidays is the best strategy for bargain hunters? Easy. Stores usually stock up to be ready in case there's a big demand for a certain item, like the new big screen 1080p TVs that have recently come down in price drastically. Whatever the brick and mortar and online vendors don't sell during the holidays they want to get rid of quickly to make room for the next round of new models with all of their advanced features. So, if you're not one of those people who's obsessed with being a first adopter of any new technology, you can pick up some real bargains if you're patient, and you do your research about where to find the best prices. Frankly, even though Christmas is technically over, the buying season is still pretty much in full swing, which is why I prefer to shop for stuff like home theater components an, LCD HDTV sets and the like at online shopping malls. I've really had my fill of hassling with finding a parking place in crowded parking lots, pushing my way through crowds, sometimes even finding the darn shopping cart. Who needs that hassle. So,whenever I can, I opt for shopping online. True you have to pay for the shipping, but with gas prices the way they are, I figure it all comes out pretty much even. That said, I felt that I pretty was lucky to find the Shopp Rite Mall (http://www.shoppritemall.com) when I decided to go shopping for a new TV wall mount and some other home theater components. Even though I only intended to buy some lower priced stuff, the TV wall mount and home theater components, Shopp Rite Mall's competitive prices convinced me that I should go ahead and spring for a big flat-screen TV too. The one I finally settled on was a Haier HL42R 42" LCD TV. Haier's not a brand I'm too familiar with, but the range of features it provided for the price seemed like a good value, especially for someone like me who's a real movie nut and wants to eventually create real surround sound in my home through purchasing the right home theater components. For me to, one of the nicest things about ordering online is that it will be delivered to my second floor apartment and I don't have to con one of my long-suffering pals into helping me schlep this monster box up the stairs. Leave that kind of stuff to the professionals, I say. |
